We always serve a cup of herbal tea as a welcome drink. It is blended by lemongrass, rosemary and stevie. All are grown in our vegetable garden, which can be observed when entering the restaurant. The herbal tea can be taken hot or cold.
Locating at Lakeside Pokhara, Nepal, Japanese Restaurant Tabemonoya’s one specialty is Soba (Japanese Noodles ). We use soba harvested in Himalayan side of Nepal. Guests are always amazed when we tell them that it is Himalayan soba
We use especially white soybean to make the tofu because its color must be white. We serve many tofu items in Tabemonoya, which are popular dishes . Usually we serve here cold tofu, tofu salad , warm tofu , Fried tofu, etc. We can also eat tofu as a snack with some drinks or as a main dish with rice, Miso soup.
Soba served in Tabemonoya is made from Nepali Soba (In Nepali Language “Phapar”) which is harvest generally in Mustang and Manang, the mountain side of Nepal. Nepalese also usually use soba flour for food — making sometimes Bread & sometimes substitute of rice which called in Nepali “Dhedo”.
